Colomendy 2018 Update - Day 2

Today has been very very very wet! We have all been rocking the 'Drowned Rat' look on site all day! Everyone slept really well and the first rooms began waking up just around 7am. After a delicious breakfast of bacon, hash browns, beans and sausages we were off on activitities. Giant zipwire, Jacob's Ladder, Fencing, Archery, Team Tech and Low ropes were the order of the day.

Lunch was soup, sausage rolls, chicken wrap, chips, salad bar and bread - so we were all stuufed as we headed back out to the activities (in the rain!)

Tonight we had hot chocolate, biscuits and marshmallows in the tech rooms as we just couldn't face another hour in the rain. All kids are now showered (or at least washed), warm and dry and fast asleep. Your children have made us all very proud today - they have worked so hard, faced so many challenges, supported and cheered each other on - all in the relentless rain. They are all super heroes to us!

We will see you tomorrow at the end of the school day. Night night from us all x

The Queens of the Drowned Rat look

Day 1.

We arrived just after 11 am this morning. After dropping our bags we walked down to Loggerheads for our lunch, to have a play and enjoy and icecream (or sorbet) in the sunshine.

After lunch we headed up to Colomendy to get settled in our dorms. The we had an amazing tea of lasagne, mac 'n' cheese, chicken and wedges. All bellies were full as we headed out for our first activities. We enjoyed orienteering, caving and Jacob's ladder before getting together for our campfire, marshmallows and hot chocolate.

All are now fast asleep in bed, breakfast is at 7.45 tomorrow morning, so we will be up and about first thing. Your children have been brilliant, hvae really enjoyed themselves and are a joy to be with.
